Christiana Fashion Center – Steinle Construction Engineers (SCE) a Division of VanDemark & Lynch utilized precast insulated exterior panels for the building shell for quick erection time that also provided the perimeter gravity bearing system and the lateral load system for the structure. This brought value to the job by reducing the complexity of interior connections and utilizing lighter columns. The walls between Edge Fitness and the adjacent Main Event building were designed as 3-hour rated (Fire Walls) to compartmentalize the two areas enabling less fire rating requirements for the Edge Fitness structure.
