PROJECT DETAILS:

Steinle Construction Engineers found that one sidewall and corner of the 140 year old Masonry and Heavy Timber Steeple was originally supported by a timber beam and truss spanning 40 feet.  This timber support system had started to creep under the load of the steeple resulting in severe cracking of the steeple walls, one of which had numerous historic signatures of church members. The Pastor asked that we salvage this wall.  SCE designed new steel support framing, steel column, and concrete footing, all without disturbing the original signatures.
